Yeh… hype sums up the Internet marketing industry. The better these web designers and gurus bull-shit, the better they do. Plus the same old re-hashed articles and products keep coming around, re-packaged and promoted as the INSIDER SECRETS.

Agreed – And why all the emphasis on new insider secrets? I’ve found that the old tried and true business principals that have worked in the real world are the ones that work the best online. For example; headings at the top of each web page in really big font with really solid benefits.

I’d like the opportunity to meet with other successful online business owners. For sharing ideas, building business relationships and joint venture opportunities. There are business groups around but none are Internet focussed.

I hate so called web designers that have no idea about visual design. They make websites that work functionally but look like dogs doo. My last website was so tedious because I had to keep giving my so called “Web Designer” instructions about every single page. It was ridiculous.

So many wannabes are providing web design services and they are hopeless. It all sounds simple and easy but in realty only great designers are great. Just like any other field of endeavour, the cream rises to the top. So find out from your family and friends who has done a brilliant website for them. I have been taken for a ride a few times. Once by a dodgy training program in Utah that was woeful and a UK based web design company based on a recommendation from a person who is going to supply products for me, but they are terrible to communicate with. They discarded my opinion and just designed the site, but the mess started after they finished. They haven't taken my needs into account.

They suck and so do all the gurus out there promoting junk products that make your wallet lighter and do nothing for you.

Am short of cash at the moment, so will have to wait a little while before I turn to another web designer but now I am so wary. The next web designer I choose will be from Australia as being a local I think they are more likely to be more legitimate.
