Facebook Content Strategy - Keep It Fresh

A successful social media strategy REQUIRES your COMMITMENT to regular CONTENT.
1. Don’t abandon your Facebook site and let it become old and stale.
2. You must commit to develop and grow your content regularly.
1. DON’T BECOME OLD & STALE
How many times have you landed on a website, a blog or a social media channel, where you can tell the company started out with good intentions, but they have let the site go? Your experience is disappointing so you leave.
You must maintain your Facebook site. If you can’t commit to doing it yourself, then find someone else in your organisation that can do it, find guest bloggers to contribute or simple pay and outsource the task to a content provider.
2. REGULAR CONTENT
Your Facebook FANS are connected to your Facebook site. Every update on your Facebook site instantly beams to your FANS.
What To Provide: Work out what your customers will find valuable, helpful and impactful. Maybe you could provide insights and tips, ideas, inspiration, how-to’s. The key is aim to be VALUABLE, HELPFUL and positively IMPACTFUL.
Images: There is so much text on a Facebook page that it easily gets ignored. So use interesting pictures to draw attention to your content.
Great Content Writing Tip: Kristina Halvorson in her book “Content for the web” suggests that you be; professional, not academic; confident, not arrogant; clever, not cutesy; savvy, not hipster; expert, not preachy.
