Your Website Bounce Rate
For many of you the word “STATISTICS” invokes immediate scepticism. But here’s one that you may want to take seriously. Your websites “Bounce Rate”.
How many visitors arrive on your website and then instantly bounce off (leave)?
This is such a simple statistic, yet it is brilliant and a powerful metric.
Example: Home Page
- 400 users arrived on this page of your website.
- 50 of these visitors left without clicking on any links.
- 12.5% bounce rate (this is good)
Example: Specials Page
- 80 users arrived on this page of your website.
- 80 of these visitors left without clicking on any links.
- 100% bounce rate (this is bad)
